We are truly a Custom Manufacturer. This means we do not have any pre-made in stock items. We require a 50% minimum non-refundable deposit on all orders, and balance pro-forma on each order. All Orders Are Non Cancelable And Non-Refundable.

Qualified Orders For Our Mill Run (production) Dates. Scottsdale Art Factory L.L.C. is a custom manufacturer with 100’s of dealers world wide. When you order an item, we must setup for the specific production run. This setup time is an expensive part of our cost, yet has no bearing on the quality of our furniture. Many of our customers order months prior to their anticipated receipt, allowing our factory to group items together with other similar pieces. By grouping orders for specific production dates, we can bring the cost down significantly. We at Scottsdale Art Factory L.L.C. are willing to pass this savings on to you. Ask your designer for details.

You Must Order Prior To Specific Production Dates.

Free Lay-A-Way Program.

S.A.F. Offers a Free Lay-A-Way Program we accept 30% down on any order with 10% of the original invoice total as a monthly payment. This program is interest free and there are no warehousing fees. ( with the exception of orders left past promised shipping dates. All items will be shipped within 65 working days of final payment. S.A.F. Offers an error free ordering program when you order by Phone, Fax, Internet or by Mail. No matter if it just one item or a complete house full of furnishings, S.A.F. will double check with you or you customer on every detail of each item in written form. This computer generated invoice will be sent by mail, fax or E-mail for your inspection. If we do not hear from you within a reasonable amount of time we will automatically assume our instructions to be correct and your production date will be assigned. All production promise dates begin upon your final approval of plans and color selections etc. (If plans and color selections are required) Promise dates are based on a five day work week excluding holidays. Also promise dates are F.O.B. (freight on board) our dock and do not account for shipping times or delays caused by your trucking company.

Note: Certain items may require extended delivery times; ask Your S.A.F. representative for details. Scottsdale Art Factory offers free climate controlled warehousing on all early orders– until you are ready to receive your furnishings.

No Matter When It Was Drawn Or Who Drew It, We Can Build It.

Design Procedures/ Requirements/ Warranties

Over the years, Scottsdale Art Factory has developed a design process that we feel is state of the art. Each new design or idea presented to us for custom build goes through this process. Based on the original design details presented to us, we do a preliminary CAD shop drawing that is sent to you for your approval, rejection, corrections or additional instructions. This process will be repeated until you are ready to sign your drawings as approved ready for production.

This means all design aesthetics, measurements, sizes and code requirements are your responsibility. All designs created by our design department require the dealer/customer or his agent's signature of approval prior to beginning production. We also require signed approval on all designs furnished by dealer/customer not requiring a CAD drawing from S.A.F. prior to production date assignment.

This means if you send us a full copy of your building plans we do not assume responsibility for error and/or omissions to build specific items. It is the full responsibility of the dealer/customer to correct all errors and/or omissions at the time of signing off of the shop drawing details.

Note: Scottsdale Art Factory Strives To Correct Or Clarify All Details Necessary In Order To Build Your Product To Your Requirements. Scottsdale Art Factory L.L.C. Is Responsible Only For All Signed/Approved Details.

All Errors and Omissions On Signed/Approved Shop Drawings Are The Full Responsibility Of The Dealer/Customer.

Note: Scottsdale Art Factory is not a licensed building contractor nor do we wish to be one.

This means all building code requirements are the full responsibility of the dealer/customer. If code specific requirements pertinent to any City, County, State or Country world wide are needed, it is the dealer/customer's responsibility to make such requirements known prior to pricing and/or manufacturing. S.A.F.'s products generally exceed code requirements world wide. Also S.A.F. has the ability to acquire engineering certifications at dealer/customer's request at an additional cost. If the final product has any errors or omissions from what had appeared on the signed/approved shop drawings, it is the sole responsibility of Scottsdale Art Factory and will be corrected at Scottsdale Art Factory's expense.

Additional Design Info

We Offer A World Class Design Department.

The art and design department is comprised of professional artists and designers headed by H.J. Nick and aided by a state-of-the-art production facility. A designer is assigned to work directly with our client to develop the ideal piece. Production begins only when our client is completely satisfied with the final design. There is no additional charge for this creative process, despite the fact that our new product development cost may be greater than your purchase price. We welcome this type of creative input because our art department derives much of its inspiration from this type of custom work, resulting in a truly client and artist created collection.

The freedom to create comes with our “Custom Order, No Risk Design Guarantee” that simply states: If you create a furniture design and through no fault of our own, “You simply don’t like it” we will accept the return and fully in house credit your S.A.F. account, "no questions asked". You may reorder the same item redesigned or order something entirely different. You simply pay freight costs and any difference in price. (see details on this policy)

We Reserve The Right Not Accept An Order. Over the years we have had the pleasure of developing many repeat customers and enjoy a special personal and business relationship with each. Many of these customers are dealers/ builders that depend upon us for their financial existence. We believe that these relationships should always be respectful as well as helpful to each other. We will always go the extra mile to accommodate our customers. We believe this process should always be a positive and rewarding experience.

We limit our work force in order to deliver the highest quality possible. We only accept orders that we have manpower to build properly. This also means we have the ability to choose who we work for.

We feel a company is only as good as its promise or word. Since we always live up to our promise we expect our customers to do so also. We reserve the right to cancel any order and return all money minus cost incurred with out impunity, if we feel the dealer/customer is being unrealistic or problematic in a unreasonable way , such as stretching the scope of our agreed upon written agreements.

And due to the nature of custom manufacturing, cancellations are not accepted. This includes discounted items.

This policy is not in place because we are being arrogant. H.J.Nick feels that in order to be truly creative at this level you must keep a positive environment. In order to do that he feels each customer must have the ability to appreciate this creative labor intensive process.
